《Not Today》這首歌是繼之前發行的《WINGS》專輯中備受粉絲喜愛的主打歌《血汗淚》之後，再度大玩Moombathon Sound，即Moombathon Stadium Dance Music。如果說《血汗淚》屬於Easy Listening係列，那麼《Not Today》則是比《FIRE》更強烈、更有力量感、更讓人印象深刻的歌曲。既有充滿刺激性的Brass Synth Drop，又在Rap部分玩轉80-90年代的Euro Dance Bass風，防彈少年團那獨特而又日漸成熟的魅力嗓音將通過這首歌完美呈現。既是曲名又在歌詞中反複出現的“Not Today”，Idea源於電影《指環王》中的台詞“But it is not this day. This day we fight”，Free Chorus 部分的歌詞“若不能飛那就跳吧Today we will survive”則是從馬丁·路德·金牧師的演講名句“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward”中得到的靈感。
