二、指路
①Go straight down this street about five blocks,and you'll see a drugstore on the corner.When you get there,turn right.You'll see it just on your left.

注意事項
①問路時應首先說一聲：“Excuse me.”這樣可以引起對方的注意，又不失禮貌。
②當你沒聽清時，你可以說一聲“Excuse me,would you please say it again?”(對不起，請您再說一遍好嗎?)或“I beg your pardon?”(對不起，請再說一遍好嗎?)等，禮貌地要求對方重複一遍。
③問完路後，千萬不要忘記向對方說句“Thank you for helping me.”或“Thank you.”
④問路時經常會用到“向左(右)拐”這樣的表達，英語對此有兩種常見的說法，即turn left(right)或turn to the left(right)。表示“在左(右)邊”，英語用介詞on或at均可。
英語表示問路的句子分別是什麼
1. Take the one-way street. 走這條單行道。
One-way street 就是單行道. 尤其在 Downtown 地區， 以亞特蘭大和紐奧良為例， 其複雜的程度可以用進的去， 出不來來形容， 實在不是個愉快的開車經驗。
2. You will stay on the street for a while until you hit the first traffic light。
你會走一會兒， 直到你遇到第一個紅綠燈。
有一次我開車老美坐我旁邊， 他幫我指路就是這麼說的. Stay for a while 通常指五到十分鍾的時間， 不會太久. 遇見某樣東西， 可以用 hit 這個字， 如 hit the traffic light, hit the stop sign 等等. 而 traffic light 也有人說成 light, 或 stoplight。
3. Then take a left. 向左轉。
向左轉可以說成 turn left, take a left 或是 Make a left. 有時光講 take a left 不明確， 你可以加上路名， 明確地告訴人家要轉哪一條路， 例如 Take a left into Hemphill Ave. 或是 Take a left onto Hemphill Ave。
4. It will be Hemphill Ave. It’s two-lane traffic.
那就會是 Hemphill Ave, 它是一條雙線道。
指路的時候如果能夠說出街道名稱是最好，所以通常我會把轉到哪一條路的路名也指出來. 至於是幾線道一般指路的時候則比較不會提及. 雙線道是指來去各一個車道共二線道而言，四線道就是 four-lane traffic. 像亞特蘭大的 Interstate Highway 有些地方都是十二線道， 那就是 twelve-lane traffice 夠驚人吧。
5. Come down Hemphill Ave about five blocks.
由 Hemphill 街往下走約五個 blocks。
英文這個部份跟中文有異曲同工之妙喔. 我們會習慣地說， 往 "下" 走， 英文也會說come "down" 或是 get "down", 這裏如果隻說 Come Hemphill Ave. 聽來是不是怪怪的？ 至於 block 指的是一塊一塊的建築， 外國人在指路時很喜歡用 block 作為計量的單位。
6. You will see a BP gas station on your left.
在你的左手邊你會看到一座 BP 加油站。
指路的時候除了路名之外， 明顯的地標也是有幫助的. 通常你可以指出一些明顯的建築物或是加油站來幫助對方. 加油站的英文是 gas station, 有時會簡稱 station。
7. Keep going 50 yards before you come to a fork road.
繼續走 50 碼， 直到你走到一個三叉路口。
繼續往下走可以用 keep going 這個字， 或是 continue straight 或是 keep straight 也很常用. Fork road 就是我們說的三叉路口. 那如果是丁字路口要怎麼說？ 你可以說， This road will dead end into 10th Street. 就可以表達出丁字路口的意思了。
8. Make a right, pass two stop signs and you will run into a Wal Mart.
向右轉， 經過二個 Stop sign, 你就會遇到 Wal Mart。
有一次我去 Ohio, 由於事先的準備不夠，以致於從頭迷路到最後. 有一次有一個老黑跟我報路用的就是 You’ll run into it! 意思就是， 我會遇到的. 他們也喜歡這麼說， You can’t miss it! 就是說， 你絕不會錯過的。
9. The post office is just right across the street of it.
郵局就在 Wal Mart的正對麵。
個人覺的 Right across the street of it 是個很重要的片語， 加上 "right" across 表示出 "正" 對麵的意思. 還有一個很常用的就是在什麼什麼的旁邊， 這個要用 The office is next to it. It 代表之前已經提過的 Wal Mart, 如果之前沒有提及， 這裏也可以直接說成， across the street of Wal Mart。
10. Mr. Yang’s house is behind the post office.
楊先生的房子就在郵局後麵。
有一次也是有一個老美路我問路， 由於那個地方不是很遠，我就用手指這那裏說， It’s over there. 可是事實上那裏是被一棟建築物給擋住了， 所以老美就反問我， Behind this building? 所以我就知道我應該說成 It’s behind this building 會來得比較好些。
